Spread the word about what we do and help us organize community events.
Plant, tend, harvest in the Giving Garden. All produce goes to local soup kitchens and food pantries.
Teach a specific arts activity or creative skill during our Momentum Arts Group.
Develop and support long-term relationships with neighbors which may include friendly visits, chores, yard and garden work, shopping, running errands, being available to call on elderly neighbor to lend a hand or an ear. Flexible hours per week.
Provide door-to-door transportation for elders to medical appointments, shopping, errands and social activities. Must have your own registered/insured car, current driver’s license, and be flexible in time commitments. Mileage stipend available. On call or as needed.
Collate papers, computer assistance, letter writing, mailings and the like.
Volunteer drivers are needed immediately to assist clients with transportation to/from medical appointments, hairdresser/barber, pharmacy, shopping and more. Volunteers can receive mileage reimbursement of $.54/mile to help offset the cost of using your own vehicle. A clean driving record and CORI background check required.
Many elders are unable to get out of the house but would really enjoy having a friendly visitor come in for a couple hours per week just to chat, play games, read, or take a walk when the weather is nice. No personal care involved.
To help out once a month for our center’s luncheons. Tasks would include, setting and clearing tables, serving already prepared meals and beverages. Free meal for volunteer.
