Mobile Food Bank Pantry10-12 Volunteers needed twice a month to help with food distribution at our Mobile Food Bank Pantry. Days are 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. The distribution time is 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Volunteers arrive at 9:30 am and leave at 11:30 am. Location is St John’s, 60 Broad Street in Westfield. The mobile food pantry processes 200 families and reaches 400-600 individuals each event. This is a year round event so wear comfortable clothing. This is a fantastic opportunity to help people from all walks of life. For more information, please call Kelly McCarthy at 413-588-5596. Thank you for your support with this community project.Training LeadersHighland Valley Elder Services provides educational trainings for chronic disease self-management, diabetes self-management, Cancer thriving and surviving, and positive self-management programs. Courses are 6 weeks long and the training for leaders is 4 days long. A course curriculum is provided. For more information on becoming a trainer for these courses, contact Cathy Twiss at 413-588-5765. This is a great opportunity for former teachers and trainers who want to make a difference!Meal DeliveryHighland Valley Elder Services provides hot meals to eligible elders living at home.
