About us | In March 1984, the Social Justice group at All Souls Unitarian Church wanted to start a program of free meals for the needy in Franklin County, and invited religious and social organizations to provide and serve the meals. The first meal was served in Greenfield in July 1984. Later, meal sites were also started in Turners Falls and Orange. The GCC Food Pantry opened in 2011 to provide food and household supplies monthly to GCC students and staff with emergency needs. We now serve meals at 4 different locations across Franklin County, including Greenfield, Turners Falls, Orange, and Northfield, and provide groceries at the Orange Food Pantry and at Greenfield Community College. |
