Money Management volunteer

The Money Management Program assists elders and persons with disabilities who have difficulty writing checks or managing their basic living expenses for many reasons, including vision difficulties, memory difficulties, and physical disabilities. A trained volunteer can provide bill-payer services, assisting elders and persons with disabilities.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

An Ombudsman is a person who visits nursing home and rest home residents with the goal of enhancing the quality of their care and the quality of their lives.

Rides for Health

Rides for Health is the answer to a local need. In listening sessions with area elders and people with disabilities, we have heard many times that transportation is a critical, unmet need for the area. Rides for Health volunteer drivers make a difference to the individuals with whom they are matched by offering door-through-door assisted transportation for home care clients.

Benefits Counseling

The Benefits Counseling Program trains volunteers to help homeowners and renters age 60 and older, or persons with disabilities, find resources to help them stay in their homes for as long as they choose. Benefits Counselors also help people apply for benefits that help them save money, like Fuel Assistance or Food Stamps.

Meals on Wheels

Volunteers deliver meals Monday through Friday, weather permitting, and provide a well-being check to elders who might otherwise be isolated. You may begin the application process to become a volunteer driver now!

How you help LifePath volunteer opportunities are available across our programs and services from daily or weekly assignments to more occasional posts. Tasks and responsibilities include driving, delivering, offering support by phone or in person, following up, office duties, fundraising, event support, and sharing your expertise and cheer!
